Happy Easter! Where’s The Bunny?

Happy Easter 2017 everybody! Happy Passover! חַג כָּשֵׁר וְשָׂמֵחַ

Back when I was a little kid in Austria my parents used to hide nests full of eggs, chocolate bunnies and other sweets in our back garden. The night before was usually full of anticipation for us: How much chocolate would be in the nest? How many eggs, what other candy? It was sugar feast primarily for us kids and we loved it.

Later, when I was the parent in charge to hide the sweets, I spent days dyeing eggs (usually very successful) and choosing tooth fairy friendly candy (usually not successful at all).

This year, my elder son is too old to be interested in such old-fashioned traditions and my little daughter spends time with her grandparents far far away so I felt a little lost. I need to hide eggs! Nests! Treats!

As nobody in this house is interested in egg and bunny search quests I needed a substitute.

Let’s Find The Bunny!

Instead of hiding Easter eggs and chocolate I put up bunnies here on knitting.today. There are three little bunnies to be found all across the site. They are small but if you spot them you’ll find a secret knitting pattern hidden behind them.

Happy Easter!

If you happen to find one of these bunnies – click on them.

Happy Easter!

The bunnies will disappear and hide in their secret nest by Monday evening again to spend their time until next year, so better look and find them straight away!

Thank You, and Happy Holidays

I’m very grateful to have you as a reader here on knitting.today and hope you’ll enjoy spending time here in the future as well.

Thank you and have very nice, peaceful and joyful holidays – no matter which religion (or none at all) you feel home in.

PS: If you found one, let us know by leaving a comment – but psssht, don’t tell where! <3

PPS:I’ll share screenshots of the three hidden bunnies on Tuesday morning to let you all know where they were hiding, and how many people were successful in finding them. There’s three bunnies but all lead to the same knitting pattern so if you found one, congratulations and no need to look further! Happy Easter!

Guess I don’t understand. I clicked on the three little bunnies I could see and thought I saw a face of one on a vase, but nothing happened and they didn’t disappear. Guess I’m not with it.

Did you find a bunny in the wild – not the ones in this post? If you click on a found bunny there’s a knitting pattern hidden behind that will open when you click on the bunny … so far, 16 people have been successful 🙂

I hid three bunnies in three different posts here on knitting.today. If you happen to find one, click on it! <3

So there is only one free pattern from the three bunnies, right? I found all three bunnies, and they led to the same pattern. That was a lot of fun! Thank you!

I didn’t get it either. Don’t know what you mean by “a bunny in the wild.” Nor how we’d know which posts to look in. There appear to be bunnies and words hidden behind this post, but impossible to see what they say as they’re not clickable. Can’t find any other bunnies though. I did look in several other posts, but couldn’t find bunnies in them

Just read the other’s comments. There were three bunnies: One in the Shawl Design for Everybody post, one in the Lace Knitting main post, and in “What about shawls for men”.

She’s given you a hint, if you see it. The bunnies will be found in amongst text. Text is searchable. You can find at least 2 bunnies this way.

I just spent an hour or more looking all over the site including tutorials, books, patterns, etc. and haven’t found one bunny. With so many pages, a hint or two might help. I’ve already explored most of your site in the past but am saddened by not finding one bunny. 🙁

Also, just FYI, when viewing your site on an iPad, the list on the left for likes, Pinterest, email, etc. overlaps the pages interfering with reading.

Happy Easter Julia! What a super fun idea! (esp for all us “kids” who used to love Easter bunnies and eggs) I found a bunny and was nicely surprised with a copy of Phoebe ~ Thank you so much! It was also nice to be able to take a look around your site again. (excellent idea) There was so much I wanted to learn when a blog post would come out, like your shawl calculations. But at the time and as happens, life got super out of control. So now, that things have almost calmed down to normal – will get back on track! Thank you again!

Guess I’m one of the losers this year. I’ve been through most of your site and can’t find anything. Looking at the comments on this post, most are from last year and many people had the same problem. Oh well, off to enjoy my family. One less free pattern for my library.

I appreciate your doing this! But I just don’t have time to hunt these down. I’ve tried twice, on numerous pages following numerous links. Maybe next time….

What a cute idea — I loved poking around the site — and then found the Easter Bunnies (once I understood that they were a little icon at the end of the words in some of the posts).
Looking forward to trying out the PHOEBE shawl pattern — thank you so much and Happy Easter!

Thank you very much for the lovely pattern. Must be in the name because I’m just like Keri – found one bunny (so far) but have enjoyed the search because I see how much useful information I’ve missed on your site previously. Thanks so very much. Happy Easter to you and your family.

Found a Bunny & TY for the Phoebe shawl pattern, it’s lovely! I wanted to say that the bunny I found was a LOT smaller than I’d been expecting & maybe that will help some of the people that haven’t had any luck.

Happy Easter & TY for sharing yours with us 🙂

It’s confusing because this post says 2017? Is this live again for 2018 or an old post that has resurfaced?

Had No problem understanding the instructions and finding the bunnies was quite fun,Ty!

I do have a question though. I found all 3 bunnies, but all 3 had the exact same pattern. Were they supposed to be all the same or each one have a different pattern?

I couldn’t find any. I definitely read a lot ;). So it was worthwhile hiding those bunnies.
    Thanks Julia
