Introducing Yarn Porn Day: Your Weekly Source of Yarn & Fiber Arts to Dream About

No worries, I’m not about to start including adult content on this site. Yes, We’re still talking knitting here. So in case you’re wondering what I’m talking about, let me provide a brief introduction.

What The Heck is Yarn Porn?

Yarn Porn is the comical term used to describe euphoric emotions felt by knitters world-wide when exposed to fiber, patterns, websites, books, needles, notions, stores, animals, or any other knitting-related business.

“The Yarn Porn experience crosses all ethnic, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, gender lines; Yarn Porn does not discriminate. Rather, it is the cosmic fiber that binds knitters around the world into one loving, tight-knit community.

One can spot a Yarn Porn experience from a variety of different indications, including sighs, groans, moments of speechlessness, watering eyes, dropped mouths, uncontrollable fondling fingers and much more.

During these spiritual moments, it is best to not mention anything that might distract the knitter. It is imperative that one not distract the knitter with mention of the fiber’s cost or the knitter’s ungodly amount of already owned stash.” (Source: http://www.knitting-and.com/wiki/yarn_porn/)

What to Expect From Yarn Porn Day

Every week I’m going to share extraordinary yarn, fiber, and other knitting related stuff to drool about. If your stash is not already bigger than what you can reasonably in a lifetime, this is your new home. Discover new yarns, knitting tools and everything else we all would buy instantly if money wasn’t an issue.

We’re going to start tomorrow with hand dyed yarn from a Canadian indie dyer I fell in love with recently (I fell in love with her yarns, not her. Seriously.)
