Four Seasons of Shawls: Autumn
I told you – in my main article about Four Seasons of Shawls – how the whole project started last spring with a walk in my neighbourhood and all the flowers and colours around me. The first part of the project – Four Seasons of Shawls: Autumn – was inspired by yarn, and with the main theme of leaves and leaf-like stitch patterns.
Four patterns resulted from this inspiration: Virgin State of Mind, When September Ends, Precious and Fallen Leaves.
Virgin State of Mind
Virgin State of Mind is a triangle with center panel worked in lace weight yarn.
When September Ends
When September Ends is a triangle worked sideways in sock weight yarn.
Precious
Precious is an Austrian crescent shawl worked in sock weight yarn.
Fallen Leaves
Fallen Leaves is another triangle shawl with center panel worked in lace weight yarn.

Fall is often assosiated with a nostalgic theme ~
I find comfort in the knowing earth can rest for a while in the North where we are ( all ) of us affected by climate change and our own circatdion rythms ~
