New Pattern: Spirotaenia Condensata

I’m very happy to announce the release of the Spirotaenia Condensata shawl knitting pattern, the next shawl from the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.

Spirotaenia Condensata is a triangle shawl worked sideways featuring lace and garter stitch.

This pattern has been inspired by the illustration of the species Spirotaenia condensata (Slide #24 Desmidiea, No. 9) in Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur.

It is part of the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.
