New Pattern: Aulacodiscus Grevilleanus

I’m very happy to announce the release of the Aulacodiscus Grevilleanus shawl knitting pattern, the fifth shawl from the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.

Aulacodiscus Grevilleanus is a triangle shawl worked sideways featuring star lace and garter stitch.

This pattern has been inspired by the illustration of the species Diatomea (Slide #4:  Triceratium, No. 13) in Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur.

The yarn used can be easily substituted with any heavy lace or light fingering weight yarn.

Yours truly,

Julia <3
