Patterns: White Atlantic

Ever wondered if Shetland lace patterns and Bay Area silk bourette yarn play well together?

Well, they do: Julia created a stunning lace stole using Artfibers Chutney yarn and traditional, timeless Shetland lace motifs.

This stole is worked in two halves from center outwards using a provisional cast on, and has little borders left and right worked at the same time as the main shawl body. The edging at the ends is worked in the same direction as the shawl itself.

White Atlantic is an example for a stole worked from center outwards as outlined in Shawl Design for Everybody: Stoles from Center Out.
